MARLBOROUGH 6 GRESLEY ROVERS 3
At long last after our worst run in competetive football of 5 defeats a well deserved win . In all honesty this came as no great surprise after seeing the beginnings of the turn around last weekend and there is no doubt that with the ability in this squad we can make a realistic challenge again next season . Today we looked very good up front with chaz netting 4 from a central position and Danny H netting one ( well actually it did not reach the net but did just cross the line ) but joking aside chaz did receive excellent support from players looking to put him in rather than take people on themselves. Nathan Woolley again had an excellent game getting in to the danger area from the flanks and scored one and had two other goals dissallowed but if he continues to get into scoring positions he will become a regular scorer for this team. So we wont get carried away but it is still a win we badly needed. Thanks to Dave Hatfield for reffing the game and as always he was very fair and consistent and no doubt with more refs like him the questioning of decisions would be a thing of the past.
