We played two 15mins each way games to give Ian and me a chance to try different things. So the first half kicked off and for the first 10 or so mins U9s looked strong making some good runs and having shots at goal But good defencive work and goal keeping kept us in it. We came back at them with some good passing and got a goal before half time. Second half started the same end to end stuff. With the U9s looking like scoring. But again great defence and goal keeping kept the ball out of our net. We got two more goals before the final whistle but we were lucky not to concede.

Second game and the U9s came out of the blocks like bullets and put some pressure on, having most of the possession they had their rewards by scoring three great goals.The second half was a great come back with the U8s getting the passing game back and making some great chances and ended up scoring five.

For saying this was the first time Ian`s team have played together they looked great passing the ball creating chances and holding their positions well. They reminded me of my team at their first game. A team to look out for next season.
